Motion

In this chapter we will introduce one of the most basic operations of the robot: motion. The robot motion is based on an electrical motor connected to a gear, and the gear connected to the wheels.

The electrical motor is connected to a battery as a power source. When motor is on, the motor axis is rotating and rotates the small cogwheel (no. 1), which rotates cogwheel no. 2. In return, cogwheel no. 2 rotates wheel no. 3 - which is connected to the wheel.

The gear system purpose is to transform power into speed, and vice versa. In the image the gear transforms speed into power.
